Dreamers Graduate Loan Program Webinar

Dreamers Graduate Loan Program Webinar

On May 2nd, 2024, the Presidents’ Alliance cohosted the Dreamers Graduate Loan Program webinar with TheDream.US and Immigrants Rising. The loan program supports Dreamers with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or Temporary Protected Status (TPS) status who want to pursue professional degrees but cannot access public loan programs due to their immigration status. This loan program provides loans to Dreamers with the same Annual Percentage Rate available to U.S. citizens via the federal government’s Direct PLUS loan program. The program also takes a student-centric approach—there are no cosigner requirements, no minimum credit score requirements, and no additional fees to take out a loan. Since its launch in 2021, the loan program has financed 280 loans to 225 students across the country in a wide variety of professional sectors. Watch the webinar to learn more!
