On Thursday, December 1, 2022, the Presidents’ Alliance, along with Refugee Advocacy Lab, World Education Services (WES), and National Association of System Heads (NASH), hosted a webinar, Limited Access: The Landscape of In-State Tuition for Displaced Students.
The webinar shared the findings of a new analysis conducted by IRAP and the Refugee Advocacy Lab on access to in-state tuition for refugees, Special Immigrant Visa (SIVs) holders, humanitarian parolees, asylees, asylum-seekers and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders across all 50 states. It also included an overview of the key take-aways, speakers will explore past challenges and success by states to expand access for forcibly displaced students, as well as opportunities for the future, from legislative options to working directly with higher education institutions.
