The Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration and TheDream.US hosted a briefing for members, partners, and advocates to provide information on the future of DACA. The briefing shared the latest updates on President Biden’s executive actions and legislative proposal relating to DACA and Dreamer students, as well as on the Fifth Circuit legal challenge that threatens the continued existence of DACA. Speakers discussed how we expect DACA to change under the Biden-Harris administration, the efforts to expand protections and a pathway to citizenship to the broader group of Dreamers, and advocacy and student support actions that campuses can take. The briefing concluded with a Q&A with the speakers.
