The Essential Role of Practical Training in U.S. Higher Education and the Innovation Economy

International students play an important role in the US – offering diverse perspectives on campus, creating American jobs, and providing a source of talent to American employers. To shed light on the priorities and preferences of international students, Shorelight commissioned a survey of over 1,200 institutional students, alumni, and prospects. The data offer insights into how international students choose a destination for their studies, and how that equation would change if programs like OPT ceased to exist.

On January 25th, 2024 at 12 PM ET/11 AM CT, the Presidents’ Alliance, Shorelight, Whiteboard Advisors hosted a webinar on an overview of new survey data and an in-depth conversation about what that data might mean for American institutions – and American employers.
