Webinar Recording and Resources: Policy Briefing on the Immigration-Related Executive Orders & Their Impact on Campuses and Non-Citizen Students and Employees

On Wednesday, February 12th, the Presidents’ Alliance hosted a timely policy briefing on the recent executive actions and their impact on campuses and non-citizen students and employees. This briefing covered key executive orders and other Administrative actions, including the rescission of the “sensitive locations” policy, suspension of refugee admissions, enhanced screening and vetting for visa applicants, the additional measures to combat anti-Semitism, and other developments.

Policy and legal experts analyzed what we currently know about these actions and their implications for colleges and universities. Speakers discussed new FAQs on immigration enforcement on campus, shared an explainer on the executive order on additional measures to combat anti-Semitism, and provided practical resources for campuses to support their immigrant-origin, refugee/displaced, and international students.

Speakers included:

  • Monica Andrade, Director of State Policy and Legal Strategy, Presidents’ Alliance

  • Carlos Guevara, Senior Director of Policy, Immigration Hub

  • Jaclyn Kelley-Widmer, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Immigration Law and Advocacy Clinic, Cornell Law School
