Presidents’ Alliance and Shorelight, released a new research report on the visa denial trends for prospective international students. This new research report sheds light on the visa denial trends for prospective international students, particularly focusing on students from the Global South, with a special emphasis on the African continent. The report provides valuable evidence-based insights into the impact of visa adjudication on international student flows to the United States, covering data from 2015 to 2022.

Previously, information on this issue was mainly conveyed through individual stories and anecdotal reports, but this comprehensive analysis offers a more systematic and data-driven approach.

This webinar also included a discussion of the human impact of these barriers through on-the-ground perspectives from Africa and a policy-focused discussion on how to overcome these barriers.
