On July 21, the Presidents’ Alliance and TheDream.US co-hosted a rapid response briefing, “The Texas Court Decision on DACA and Its Implications for Higher Education.” The event included a legal analysis of the Texas decision, what it means for the future of DACA and the practical impacts of the decision on current DACA recipients, DACA-eligible students, and campuses. Speakers also addressed the implications for the ongoing negotiations in Congress regarding a roadmap to citizenship for Dreamers and other undocumented populations and the opportunities and urgency for advocacy by higher education leaders and communities.
